Our Story

Bushwacker was born on the trails. In the late 1960s, off-road enthusiasts needed a way to protect their rigs from the rocks, mud, and debris that came with pushing vehicles beyond the pavement. Factory fenders weren’t built for that kind of abuse, and nothing on the aftermarket shelf solved the problem. So we built the solution ourselves — the first-ever aftermarket fender flare, designed for the Ford Bronco.

That original flare wasn’t just a piece of plastic bolted to a fender. It was an engineered solution that added tire coverage, absorbed impacts, and gave trucks the rugged stance their owners wanted. Word spread fast in the off-road community, and by the mid-1970s, Bushwacker had become the name synonymous with fender flares.

Over the decades, we’ve expanded from that single Bronco application to an exhaustive catalog covering Ford, Ram, Chevy, GMC, Toyota, Jeep, Nissan, and dozens of other makes and models. We’ve developed proprietary materials, pioneered new styles, and introduced innovations like factory pre-painted flares. But our core mission hasn’t changed: build the toughest, best-fitting fender flares in the business, and build them in America.

What We Engineer

We design and manufacture premium fender flares for trucks, Jeeps, and SUVs. Our engineering team uses OEM body scan data to design every product for a specific vehicle application. We don’t build universal accessories and hope for the best. We engineer exact-fit solutions that align with factory mounting points, follow original body contours, and install without permanent modifications to your vehicle.
